Attorney registration with the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers requires two addresses:
(1)Your Home address This address is NOT RELEASED TO THE PUBLIC.except in the following situations:
--Active attorneys who list their home address as their billing/mailing address.
In these cases, the Board of Bar Overseers treats the home address as public information.
--The home address will be considered public information for service of legal process.
(2) A Business/Mailing address This address is considered public information by the Board of Bar Overseers
for active status attorneys only. However, if the home address is listed
as the business/mailing address by an active attorney, the home address will be
considered public information.
The Board will accept a post office box in lieu of a street address
for either the business/mailing address or the home address, but not both.
